The Baltimore Responsible Fatherhood Project (BRFP), formerly the Men’s Services Responsible Fatherhood program, assists low-income Baltimore fathers in becoming actively and positively engaged in their children’s lives.
Fathers who typically enroll in the program do not have custody of their children, are unemployed, have only a ninth grade education, have been involved in the criminal justice system, and have used illegal drugs. BRFP provides fatherhood curriculum and case management resources for these fathers.
The program’s work-first approach assists low-income fathers with employment, child support, recidivism reduction, effective parenting, and maintaining healthy relationships.
With fourteen years of operation, BRFP is one of Maryland’s longest standing responsible fatherhood programs and serves more than 100 fathers each year.
