WHY SUPPORT CFUF?
The Center for Urban Families’ (CFUF) services encompasses a variety of workforce development and family strengthening programs that provide support to low-income men, women and families.
In 2014, CFUF helped its members earn an average hourly wage of $11.75 which is almost 30% more than the Maryland minimum wage of $8.25. Your involvement could
also be instrumental in our ability to continue to provide child support
relief. Between 2011 and 2014 CFUF helped Baltimore fathers pay an
estimated $100,000 in child support.
But, to keep moving forward, we need your help.
By becoming a partner and/or donor of CFUF, you can directly assist CFUF in providing critical support and resources necessary to help its clients sustain long-term progress towards greater self-sufficiency and fulfillment through its programs.
- A donation of $25 covers the cost of tools for one member enrolled in the JumpStart Construction Training Program.
- A donation of $50 covers the costs of one pair of work shoes.
- A donation of $100 covers the cost of a computer literacy online workshop for one member.
- A donation of $250 covers the costs of 10 caps and gowns for members who graduate from CFUF’s STRIVE Baltimore job readiness training.
