Policy and Advocacy

The data we gather in our program assessments informs legislators and other influential leaders about the impact of policy decisions on the low-income, urban clients we serve. This input has helped to shape both local and national policy. CFUF has become leader in public policy, educating the community and the policy makers that represent the community on issues of great impact, like responsible fatherhood and child support.

Through CFUF’s Community Conversations, the organization galvanizes practitioners, policy makers, researchers, community leaders and concerned citizens around the public policy issues that affect Baltimore’s families and neighborhoods. Between 80-250 people attend each Community Conversation; the goal is not only to provide a forum for the sharing of diverse perspectives but to document a collective response on the issues.
