Training and Technical Assistance

CFUF provides training and technical assistance to a range of government and community based organizations, through dissemination of its proprietary Exploring Relationships and Marriage with Fragile Families (ERM) curriculum.

With the support of the State of Maryland and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (Administration for Children and Families), we assisted two Baltimore area community-based organizations, the Historic East Baltimore Community Action Coalition (HEBCAC) and Baltimore City Healthy Start (BCHS) with providing the ERM curriculum training to low-income city residents.

We have also trained facilitators across the country—in cities like Atlanta, Houston, Louisiana, Chicago, New York, Denver, Annapolis and Baltimore—on the (ERM) curriculum.

Our technical assistance and training activities have now expanded to assisting federal grantees nationwide with employing best practices in delivering responsible fatherhood direct services. CFUF was recently awarded a major federal grant as a subcontractor to Macro International, Inc. to provide training and technical assistance to 102 Responsible Fatherhood Grantees around the country. Through this grant, CFUF will help research and assess the needs of responsible fatherhood grantees and provide on-site and web-based training and assistance, helping staff with outreach/recruitment and program implementation, as well as other necessary skills to maintain successful programs.
